Conner Machado, a 10th-grader at Monache High in California, placed second in the sophomore boys race in 9:56.67 at the Kingsburg 2-Mile at Kingsburg High in California. Machado was one of eight male athletes to produce a sub-10 performance from all four boys races combined.
